Temporal and spatial transcriptional regulation of phytohormone metabolism during seed development in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)

چکیده

Plant hormones play important roles in seed development; however, transcriptional regulation of their metabolism and levels the respective bioactive forms during barley development is poorly understood. To this end, study performed a comprehensive analysis changes expression patterns phytohormone genes embryo endosperm tissues. Our showed presence elevated abscisic acid (ABA), gibberellins (GAs), jasmonate (JA) cytokinins (CKs), auxin salicylic (SA) tissues at early stage filling (SF). The all both tissues, except that ABA, decreased to low SF. In contrast, embryonic ABA level increased SF peaked physiological maturity (PM) while endospermic was maintained similar observed Although its high amount still present post-PM. We detected other post-PM phase relatively higher jasmonoyl-isoleucine SA late data also spatiotemporal plant are mediated by specific involved metabolic pathways. These results indicate modulation hormones.

Metabolism of lipids during chloroplast differentiation in barley (Hordeum vulgare).

Plants grown in the dark contain plastids that are quite different in structure to normal chloroplasts. The latter possess sheets of lamellar membranes and granal stacks consisting of closely associated thylakoid discs. In contrast, plastids from darkgrown plants are termed etioplasts and contain a threedimensional lattice of membrane tubes called the prolamellar body. They do not contain chlor...

Lysine Catabolism in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).

Lysine catabolism in seedlings of barley (Hordeum vulgare L. var. Emir) was studied by direct injection of the following tracers into the endosperm of the seedlings: aspartic acid-3-(14)C, 2-aminoadipic acid-1-(14)C, saccharopine-(14)C, 2,6-diaminopimelic acid-1-(7)-(14)C, and lysine-1-(14)C. Labeled saccharopine was formed only after the administration of either labeled 2,6-diaminopimelic acid...

Allelopathic Plants. 19. Barley (Hordeum vulgare L)

Barley is integrated with other crops to inhibit weed growth, through allelopathic interactions. Effects of barley on growth of other crops, weeds and autotoxicity among cultivars result primarily from allelopathy mediated by allelochemicals released from plant components and/or exuded from living roots. A limited number of allelochemicals are identified that contributes to allelopathic effecti...

Identification of a Phytase Gene in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)

BACKGROUND Endogenous phytase plays a crucial role in phytate degradation and is thus closely related to nutrient efficiency in barley products. The understanding of genetic information of phytase in barley can provide a useful tool for breeding new barley varieties with high phytase activity. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS Quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis for phytase activity was condu...

Effect of genotype on androgenesis in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)

Current study was set up to determine the response of 12 Iranian winter diploid barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars to anther culture on solid FHG induction medium supplemented with 90 mg/l sucrose, 2 mg/l 2,4-D and 0.1 mg/l kinetin. For cold pretreatment each selected spike was kept in a refrigerator at 4 C for 14 days. The experimental design consisted of a completely randomized design (CRD...
